How many of you have car lifts and if so where did you get it?
My dad and I are in the market for one since we are expanding our detached garage.
Is there a used market for these?

my dad has one. i get to use it but have to schedule about 6 months in advance....i think he got an autolifters.
he got one of the 2 posts low profile. i could take a pic of it in the garage if u want.

My dad has one as well...but he stumbled upon it. One of his friends owns a junk yard that was revising their shop with two new lifts. They were getting rid of an older one...worked fine just had a leaking piston. My dad bought it from him...got a piston rebuild kit, and within a day we had it up and working. Bolt it to the cement floor and we were good to go:
I can't way we use it that much...but it definately comes in handy for work under the car. Exhausts in and out in 30min
So if you are looking for a used one...maybe a local shop or junkyard may be getting rid of one...or pehaps they could direct you to a source that may have some Good luck
