Haha. It hits showrooms in 2009. Meanwhile Ford is selling Mustangs like crazy. Another shining example of GM's ineptitude. They do a blatant copy of Chrysler's PT Cruiser (the even uglier HHR) what, like 10 years after the PT comes out? Is there anyone at GM capable of thinking an original thought?

Haha. Sounds about right. The only problem is their methodology. The way GM finds out what people want is by letting their competitors build it first. Then after giving them a 10-year head start they struggle to make their "new idea" as good as the car they're copying.
It's stodgy! It's inferior! It's GM! Yawn.

actually ford is in BIG trouble, I read mustang sales are getting soft right now.
they had better start coming out with more cars people will buy, if it was not for fleet sales they would be out of business by now.

yea, i remember the virtual comparison btwn the mustang and the camaro... that was pretty lame. The car itself looks ok, i like it better than the mustang and challenger, but knowing GM, they'll look at the mustang, see that it got away with a solid rear axle and do the same. the interior will be parts-bin generic (but with some flashes of chrome! that little plastic bit makes it all better!), and it will be 300 lbs heavier than it should be ala pontiac solstice

During a recent test drive of two different '05 Corvettes, I was amazed at the absolute crappy appearance of the dashboard/console/instrument panel. GM interiors have been pissing me off for at least 15 years and the sad thing is that they still suck out loud.

yeah huh, that actually is the buisness model.
ford makes crap 90% of the time, then that other 10% are things like the model T, or the 64 mustang....
chrysler got invaded by the germans, so zhey are perfekt!
