whats up everybody umm i have adelphia cable for my comp and i need to get a line to use for my ps2 soo what im asking is...what do i need to split the line and can i use my comp and me online on ps2 at the same time?? thanks

Actually you prolly need a router and not a hub/switch. You can use the hub if you have multiple ips, which is rare from any ISP. The router will share one ip using NAT/DHCP.

Not Linksys my friend, hes right you do need a router, not a hub. Deffinately dont go with linksys(according to me) but it still might work. A friend of mine uses a linksys router for xbox live and it seems to work but you wont be able to host any servers. I say check out D-Link, their routers are solid

I recommend the DLink as well, but on any router if you are trying to accept incoming connections you are going to have to forward the ports to proper ip, doesn't matter the brand. Playstation has it's own servers, nothing is hosted on your end so as long as he's just using his PS2 it won't be an issue.

People who do not take the time to understand how to properly configure them keep themselves from playing games, etc. Don't blame the equipment. |
