well i imagine ill know what to do once i drive an fc around enough to see if i like it enough to do the swap in there, or to opt for the fd.

 

how much money do you have available to spend? Unless you have a damn sweet job, save every penny, or very generous parents you will be very hard pressed to own an FD prior to graduation from college. I'd say buy the FC and learn 7's and rotary engines, you can always get an FD when it's more practical, but it's your money/time/headaches......

 

A 20b will last no longer then a 13b, if treated the same. May last even less.

 

yeah thats what i was planning on doing, since itd be a few years before i could switch it around or the sort.



yeah my jobs allright i spose for a freshman in high school that is.its 8.25 an hour no taxes, and i work my own hours, so i make as little or as much as i want to. starting sometime in 8th grade to now ive save up about 32 hundred or so. (i take out about $20 from each paycheck to live on)

 

Well if you really want a fd you could just go without a 7 until you have built up some more money. If you buy a fc you will prolly want to spend money upgrading it which will make getting the fd take a lot longer, so I guess what you have to ask yourself is what is most important to you?

 

i think i want to start off with an fc instead of going striaght into fd. for quite a bit of reasons.

are you looking for a turbo or NA?



you can get an NA for less than $2000. i got my original '86 NA automatic for only $1900, and it overheated on the way home. one coolant leak around the heater coil, cost like $50 to fix, and ran good for 5 yrs until i got my turbo...



although i did spend $1500 on a tranny rebuild and $3000 on an engine rebuild



but any old money is going to cost you money, especially an old sports car
