Not only do I have the AK, I've also got a Glock 23 (.40 cal. loaded with hollow points), 12 ga. shotgun, and a M1 carbine (I love that thing). So don't go breaking into my car! And yes I do know that you have to justify shooting someone. I came damn close to popping this one **** that kept breaking in to my girlfriends house. I caught him in her apartment. I had my AK with me, we expected him to try something because her mom was out of town. I ended up escorting him out of the apartment with a barrel smashed into his face. Then he had the ***** to call the cops on me for "assault with a deadly weapon." Luckily we'd already called the cops on him. The cops didn't like the fact that there was no buttstock on my AK, I just told them that last time I'd gone out shooting it had vibrated loose, and I was in the process of fixing it. Needless to say I didn't get arrested for assault with a deadly wepon.

Oh, those glaser saftey rounds are pretty cool.

The glock 23 in .40 cal. is a great gun(just ask the FBI!), although it is a little bulky for conceal carry. The .40cal has very good stopping power. Try the Corbon hollow points,as they are a lot lets money than the Glaser, which means you can actually go out and practice with them. They are also a real hot load! As to the stock on your AK. I believe depending on if it was preban or post ban, preban the stock can fold or detach, postban it must be permanently attached. Most cops don't know what they are looking at when it comes to firearms, all they see is a large mag military looking weapon. As to someone breaking into my home or apartment. They will never be calling anyone ever again, much less the police.(It is your right to defend your life and property inside your residence(lots of paperwork though!) As I said before, its very hard to beat a 12gage pump shotgun for close quarters work.(this goes double if you don't pratice with your weapon ever week) Thats why every police car has one.

I too have a M-1 carbine and really love the gun(although I don't think I would want to carry one to war!)

I think that the Bureau of alcohol, tobacco, and firearms is going to be monitoring our forum soon. :sigh:
