Chlorinated.. What would that do?



The cleaner I have is non-flammable Wurth brand brake clean..

 

I just read (at wurth's website) that the wurth non-flammable stuff is environment friendly and isn't chlorinated.. Let's just hope it's the same stuff I have at my garage..

 

Detailing place in town says $20 to clean the bottom of the car. No stonage for me!

 

Okay, we don't ALL own intrepids, okay.

 

20 dollars to scape **** *** undercoating away? are u serious?

 

That's the whole reason I was using brake clean in the first place.. Some of it is so thick it takes forever.. But the brake clean eats it away..



I would just leave it there but it looks like crap, cause it was done while the tranny was in the car..

 

i want to remove it and repaint with Por-15

 

Not the factory rubber spray (or whatever it is), just the months worth of oil and dirt combo that happens when your turbos blow and you live on a street with no grass.



They did my buddy's Prelude that he's driven every day since he bought it in 97. Looked brand new under the hood except for the aluminum oxidization and the one little spot they left to make you realize how bad it was. I asked him where he got the fancy new silicon rad hoses when I saw it.

 

damn! i used a case of gunk engine cleaner and it stopped working after the 4th can.

 

I think brake fluid would be good for getting off the underbody sealer. I know when my tranny was leaking all that crap was melting off. Brake fluid is even worse.
