Look at it like this:



Why do you think McDonalds is open for breakfeast? Because they want to serve the public? **** no. It costs XXXXXX Dollars per year per location. If they only opened for lunch and dinner it would cost them more per hour to operate than if they opened for breakfeast. The labor costs of a McDonalds is negligible in the overall picture of things. Same holds true for a Large Machining Center, it costs XX dolars per hour to own it weather it is running or not. So they hire a bunch of DEFPRUNS to chuck crap up. The Set-up man/programmers go home at 5

 

Nevertheless, mean people suck!

 

Put it into perspective though, take what Banzai said and add the phrase "it's BOYD's ******* shop" to that. If someone was using my tools and my materials to make a "gift" for me on my time, I would be ******* irate as well.

Boyd is still an *******...now chip foose is a good guy that gets results and makes some kick *** cars WITHOUT being a dick...people seem to like to work with Foose.

I used to hang around and help out in the "McChicken Racing" Shop, It was a Vintage car Race shop disuised as the local McDonalds Fleet Maintenance Facility.

Foose is not an engineer, he got trained as an industrial designer. DO NOT confuse engineer with a designer.
