They take it to the extreme and reap the benefits.



A car is a car, dont matter if it was done in a million dollar shop or a dudes basement, when its sitting in the middle of the show how can you tell the difference?

I agree that all the hot rod builders are building cookie cutter cars now, and not a whole lot seperates one from the other. I do enjoy watching Foose work though, since he actually touches the car a lil bit and designs it. That, and even though they've all "sold out", they've have to be idiots not to. People buy what they have seen. The guys on OCC are about the big bunch of morons i've ever seen handle a wrench, but since people see them on tv, people spend $100k+ on a POS bike worth $10k. Tv is telling people to buy that bike, people are sheep.

　Occ isn't interesting to me because it has no actual technical depth to it. For that reason I don't even know why its on discovery, it doesn't teach anything insightful. Its a semi drama about gruff doofuses hanging ornaments on a prefabbed bike. They may as well have 4 old ladies bitching about their husbands decorating christmas trees as a show. Rides, and Boyds show is not actually to much above this, its always about the big drama surrounding the build as they feverishly work down to deadline of SEMA. The lack of time being their own fault. All that and the lack of real technical discussion is the often the reason I have to turn those shows off after 3 minutes.

Yonner, do they have Haggis stands on the street corners in the UK? Is there fast Haggis? McHaggis?

I have not watched OCC too much in the last few years, but when I did I at least noticed they are doing more in-house.

Even had their own frames, making their own tanks, their own painter, and were using their CNC machine alot.

yeah but the don't talk about any of it on the show, nothing about fork rake, or tank design etc etc.. Its just oh Paul Junior got sand in his vagina, and Mikey's to much of an idiot to wipe his own bum etc etc ...

The show I do miss is Junkyard wars.

Mikey has an alcohol issue so I hear, which is fitting, 'cause I would have to be smashed to deal with that fam on the day to day, otherwise I'd swallow a bullet.



Hopefully all this custom **** will follow the natural cycle, people will stop watching, the shows will go away on tv, and the headlining car shows around the world will become exciting again.

I watch those other guys also , the ones from the other side of the pond where they buy some older car and the other guy in the garage spray paints it a bit and compounds it, but its funny to listen to how they explain it all "a new bonnet was 250 quid"



And I catch that Chasing Classic Cars show with that dude Wayne.
