I don't think that is really the point why he bought it, however much it was, whether or not he can drive it again.....he didn't buy it to get a deal.

i think it was a good deal, a bit spooky and might give me the creeps working with a car with similar history but if u can get around the supernatural guilt etc the parts alone, well worth it

was the car RHD?

it was totalled for a reason though. I think it would be wise to use the

smashed car for a parts car. It would be better for him to find one with a

bad motor and do the work to it.
Many reasons why I bought it.

1: A friend of mine owned it.

2: It has alot of good things on it, here's the list

From Mr RX7S7

" Rx7 SP"

The car is running a 13B with T66 Turbo. It got new rotors and housings a new blue printed rotor shaft and got it extend ported (little bigger than normal) with 3mm rotor seals. She got a full rebuild.

The injection system is a Microtech MT12 fuel management system running the 2x 850cc primary injectors and 2x 1600cc secondries, a microtech LTX8 for ignition and in the car is a Jacobs ignition amplifier ensuring the Bosch 4 coils get more spark. A HKS BO Valve, a Greddy profec boost controller, a custom made 3 inch intercooler. The turbo is a T66 running on 25psi with a 42mm wastegate incase of excess boost. Fuel is delivered by a high presure Bosch EFI pump from the fuel tank.

The gear box is a supra 5 speed with a heavy duty clutch and pressure plate. The diff is still as spec.

Its got 12 inch brembo brakes. It's got Tein Suspention, the tyres are from Roman autotech and are 235/40/19 all around.

That's the reason why i'm buying the red one, so I can tranplant everything that's good to it, well he did say that the diff is as spec

Now tell me, it's your friends car and you had $9k AUD wouldn't you do it.

Well we do now. Specially when they came out of the factory with about 265rwhp and he doubled it to 568rwhp. I might see if I can get a second hand 9in diff and put it in the next car.

My mechanic came over and had a look at it and said the diff is stuffed and so is the motor.

How can those parts be good if you said it had damage to the front end? The suspension has to be messed up. Along with the brake system. Are the turbos placed on the left side of the car over their? Cause if it was on the right side were the impact was then wouldn't it also be damaged. DId you actually check the car out before you bought it (might be a stupid question). It's cool though that you have a nice project car but thats too much bad JuJu for me. Creepy.

And I think it was 3rdgenRx7 told me that it wasn't the stock diff. So that might be worth somethign also. Unless he was covering up the credability of their mechanics.

why would they auction the car to begin with. Shouldnt the family keep it. Or are they selling it to cover the costs of the funeral. I dont know but i would feel bad buying someones car if they died due to it, especially if they was my boy.......Thats sad what happpened to him. When he hit the wall obviouslly he wasnt wearing a seatbelt right. If he had he would off survived right?..

Good luck anywayz

It got minor damage to the front end.

The diff is stock but the SP models use a stronger diff than the stadarded Rx7's.

I'm going to make a map of the track and how the accident happened.
