I got a new e-brake handle but it didn't fit with the plastic boot. I found this company and they make custom boots. I got a new leather shifter boot and ebrake boot. Black leather yellow stitching. You can get any color leather or stitching. I didn't post this till I got them and installed them so I can give an honest opinion. Ralf (the guy who makes them, also owns a second gen vert) emailed me about 2-3 times a day to give me a report. About a week turnaround.

They look great. Drop in replacement too. I will get pics up this weekend. I am very happy to get two custom boots for $50. here is his site

Yeah that plastic is ugly. I will take a pic when I get home tonight and post it. I got a cheapy handle at a show for like 15bucks. I had to mod it to fit but it looks fine now and doesn't move. If I had to do it over again I would get the mazdaspeed one or the voodoo one.

Just beware, the voodoo shift **** doesnt fit a 2nd generation, maybe the brake handle is different though. I had to tap my **** out from voodoo to be the right threads. 12mm X 1.5 pitch. Here is the center console painted, post the pic of the boot! ...... EDIT:I forgot to add the pic, its in the post below:

Does look much better then the original plastic e-brake cover. Does the E-brake handle thread on or is there a screw for it or something? It doesn require any vast installation does it? I could get a handle to match my shifter **** ( which isnt in the pic ), I would get a leather cover to replace the plastic crap cover there now.
