Napster bad!

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Hmm, I don't really have a particular favorite.
the whole problem with their argument is this.

I wasnt able to listen to their music when it came out (earlier albums) and when i first started listening to them, i used napster (well audio galaxy) to get exposure to their music. After i heard a few choice songs, i was hooked and bought a few albums, and forked out 100 bucks to see them live. If it wasnt for napster, i would have never gotten the exposure, and might not have been a big fan of them.

Napster actually got them my buisness.

I dont see why they really care either, as an artist, they should care more about getting their music out to more people. Thats exactly what file sharing programs did for me. It helped with countless bands and artists that i otherwise would hae not spent any money on.

I loved Napster. I found so many new songs because of it. I even purchased some music because of the songs I downloaded from fellow Napster users. CDs always have better sound quality because MP3 is a lossy format. I'll never pay for an MP3.

Now that that's been 'said', I'm going to listen to some Metallica right now.

i have to agree. a got hooked on a little known band(at the time) called at the drive-in. i ended up buying their 5 cd's. without those 2 songs i had downloaded to try them out, i would have never have gotten into them.
