******* name brand, charmglow/brinkman cast iron burners rusted out in about 13 months, warranty is 12 months, not a cheap bbq either thing was $300.

I am not impressed, I think I am going to buy a Kenmoore from sears they have stainless steel burners with a lifetime warranty.

i didn't know there would be that big of a difference between cast iron and stainless steel, but the warranty's are definetely different. Weber has a 10 year on their burners, kenmoore lifetime, cast iron 1 year, I ain't spending $100 every year for new burners.

try the warranty, a lot of times if its that close they will just go ahead and honor it since it obviously didnt rust out over night.

in my experience cast resists cracking the best.

stainless steel always seems to give out more often, can't take the weight and sometimes the welds arent as good.

nothing wrong with having a big *** open flame when the burner rusted out. Makes for excellent char broiling.
