If i had to guess i'd say his union might back a bond for cops on trial, i don't know I am just guessing.

Saw the footage. It's clear the "maybe he thought he grabbed his taser" BS is just the press trying to create more of a story through speculation. The guy pulls out a weapon which has a pistol grip and trigger (unlike a taser), has to turn off the safety, **** it and then fire it. There's about a 10 second space of time between his removing the gun from the holster and the shot being fired. "Oops I didn't notice" isn't even worth saying, which is why the officer is now just exercising his 5th amendment.

 

We don't have those kind of rules here, but can't you put up real estate as a bond?

The kid and 4 friends were detained by officers, it doesn't say how many cops there were.. Another link?

But over the last 5 years, there has been a rise in killing of people apprehended by police, by use of excessive force with a weapon. IMHO, I think its because they really relaxed the hiring rules for officers. Back in the day all cops were huge dudes, who just intimidated you with their presence. Now a lot of them are smaller, and immediately they all for reach their deadliest weapons, first.. Get rid of hiring quotas and put standards back in place.
