manatees are in the news all the time down here. usually for something stupid. i didnt donate to your mascot cause, and i dont plan on ever doing it. also when did i say it was legal to kill manatees? i didnt understand your joke either. just because i dont agree with you....i cant voice my opinion? if you even endanger a manatee down here there is heavy fines. they are trying to pass another law now that would prohibit boats from going over 10 knots in the waterways. do you know how stinking slow 10knots is?? its REALLY stinking slow. 
it would take forever for fishing boats and cargo boats...etc.. to get out of the marina and ports and out to sea. imagine if it was a squirrel not a mantee and cars not boats, and you have to go less than 10mph everywhere in town in your car. do you realize how pissed you would be just because at the remote chance that one might run in the road in front of you.

they are talking about the whole river. not just a little spot. there are slow zones every where you go. every canal is a slow zone . there are only like a few spots where you can actually go fast. as for the squirrels i was making an analogy. manatees are only endangered in america where they are not a native species. thats my point if you go to their homeland they are not endangered

told me that they arent even on the endangered species list in florida anymore. soo that probably means they are on the threatened species list. manatees only like shallow water. because it is warm and to eat grass. there is a giant channel in the middle of the intercoastol waterway that manateess wont go to be cause the water cold and deep. but they still want to make it a slow zone also. also my boat is powered by compressed air not a prop.
