Well, due to financial reasons, and due to my lack of time. I am putting the rx7 project on hold. I'm gonna spend what little money and free time that i have on having a good time for my senior year of high school and through college.

I'm not going to get rid of my mazda, I love it too damn much, but I can't afford to do what I want to do on a 17 year olds budget. When I graduate college and get a good paying job, and steady lifestyle, then I will pull it out of storage, dust it off, and start where I'm gonna leave off now.

This is VERY hard for me to do, and even though I'm not going to sell it, it will kinda seem gone, without having a reason to wrench on it.

I'm not gonna leave here, I have to much fun bugging the **** out of ya'll to go away, and I still want to learn as much as I can about these great cars.

I really do wish I could go on with the project, but like I said, I can't afford what I really want to do, and I'm not one to settle for almost. I want it exactly how I have it set in my mind, and one day I will get it that way. Just not now.

Thanks to everyone that has helped me, thanks for your time and advise.

It will be worth it. I once thought I would die if I didn't get an FD...my parents were looking at cars for me (I know, I know, I'm spoiled...) and now I bought my own FB and am modding it with my own money, 2 years after the fact.

Patience!

Tough decision man, but a good one. I had to leave my GSL-SE sit for 6 years when I went to Germany and it was pretty hard. She started right up when I came back! It'll be there when you're ready...

Turbo my n/a motor. Make it to hold 15psi. Aftermarket ecu, injectors, Fmic, customs engineered oil system (by me ) Custom made exaust, turbo II drivetrain. Fully re do the body, add turbo II side skirts, re amamiya front cover.

new top (its a vert) re do interior.

thats was my project. my goal was to break 400hp with the 9.7 comp rotors.

when I get through with school, and I'm makin bank, I'll get it.

and yea, its tough to do, but there are too many other things going on to tie all my money and time up into one thing.

this is not a good idea. sell that car and get another one when you are going to start the project. how much will you pay to store it for 5 years? also in 5 years the value of verts will be way down and you will be able to get one for less than what you will be able to sell this one for.

Its not going to cost me anything to store it for that long, I'm parking it in my garage. and I don't care if verts are cheaper in 5 years, I want THIS vert, the one that got me started in rotaries.

yea, my vert is my baby. I couldn't sell it. love that thing WAY too much, and have spent way to many long weekends working on it, and learning about it. no way in hell i could sell that thing.

one day, I'll pull it back out, and get it back to the condition is deserves to be in.
