Well, since im post whoring tonight and i have been the last person posting on the last 6/7 topics in Gen D, I thought I would share some shitty news:

Went to the eye doc the other day. I have to go in really often like once a month or two because the pressure behind my high is really high. Average pressure is between 10-21, and the pressure behind my eyes has been consistently 29 + or - a few points on various days.. I am a possible candidate for glaucoma (causes you to go blind)

Well, the optic nerves looked healthy and i have had to get various test done in the past, visual field tests, and other ****.. but when i went in the other day, there were a few spots, and then when i took the visual field test, i was missing points that corresponded to this lazer optical nerve test (don't know the names of the tests).. in other words, i have a blind spot in my right eye and **** is getting worse quickly..

I have to go to a glaucoma specialist in March, and probably start on prescription ****, because they were telling me that my condition if not treated is irreversible and that it is and has been getting worse.. so whatever.. its just frustrating knowing that i have a blind spot now, and that i will always be under high supervision with the eye doc, and that there is a possibility (according to the doc) that my vision might rapidly decline

thanks for listening

Mike

I've been wearing glasses since I was 4. It can be a bitch sometimes, and I've never had the pleasure of seeing through my own eyes without glasses until I got contacts a few years ago.

I know loosing your vision is a very scary thing, I hope nothing serious happends to you man.

A lot of people on my dad's side of the family have that. A lot of them are really old though. At least you can get a perscription for marijuana with glaucoma.

My friend's vision was going bad real fast. They noticed pressure on his optic nerve, and 1 of many possibilites was a brain tumor. We were all really freaking out. Turned out to be something simple, not serious at all, and was fixed by taking a pill. Something about the fluid around there, I can't remember.

I hope your situation takes a turn for the best.

Treatment for it does exist, so you have to look on the bright side!

Hang in there man...

I wish we can have cybernetic implants for eyes, that would be sweet.
