It's got a new looking O2 sensor. I told guy-man at the e-test place about it, and he said sometimes the aftermarket ones (for any vehicle) don't always work out for the better.. I would imagine because it's because its different for each vehicle, but hey.. and O2 sensor senses O2, right? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif
It was my first guess but now I'm not so sure. |
that car has a Holley throttle body, there is a plug (about 1/4 inch round) that you have to knock out to gain access to the idle mixture screw. It may help, it may not, worth a shot https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

Those cars are prone to having MAP sensors go bad. tune up, map sensor, o2 sensor, and fuel pressure regulator are the things to check for high co @ idle

I paid seventy five dollars for my Daytona.
Right place at the right time. It's worth a good amount of cash. But to me it's a throw away car. It almost hurts to say it. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png This car has gotten me around for 8000 kms, no breakdowns. Best 75 bucks I ever spent. Low mileage too! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png I should post pics I guess, eh? |
