(This is my 1989 Chrysler Daytona, not my RX7).

I failed the E-test. Passed every aspect except CO% at idle. Even though I passed the 40 kmph test, my CO% was still high.

What's a quick fix? Any tips you guys?

Is there an idle mixture screw? You could probably lean it out.

4 or 6 cyl?

If there is I don't know about it. I should probably hit up a chrylser website and find out. It's running high CO all the time. Just barely broke the camels back at idle. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif

My RX7's numbers were WAY lower than this when I had it done.. Same with the Cavalier..

Try going to the parts store and finding that stuff that guarantees you pass? If you're not that far over, it should help. Try changing your plugs, too.

I think I am going to go again on Friday. If I don't pass with new spark plugs, air filter, and that pass stuff, then I dunno.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif

Try resetting the factory computer too. Disconnect the battery and hold your foot on the brake for a few seconds.

Woah really?

UniqueTII 01-14-2004 04:35 PM

Yeah. It may not help, but you'll get a fresh "boot" after that.
