holy crap, i was doing some yardwork last weekend and i was covered in it. I tried this stuff called Zanfel, its like a lotion soap thing. $43 for a 1 oz tube, worth more than its weight in gold. i put it on, and w/in like 20 seconds, i watched everything clear up...

no longer am i miserable.

Wow! Thats pretty cool. I am writing that down. Being in Land surveying we run across posion ivy a lot. Usually results in a trip to the walk in clinic for a cortisone shot.

Is this Zanfel available at your usual chain drug store??

sweet. I used to get ivy real bad, and had a pretty bad allergic reaction to the stuff and had to go on steroids. I took these poison Ivy pills, kinda like the same deal as a flu shot, it had a little ivy oil in the pill. after you finish the bottle you are sopposed to be 'immuse' to it. I have never gotten ivy sense (that was 3 years ago) and i have done soem very hardcore ivy touching.

i get poison ivy pretty bad. the last time i had it it was maily focused on my right arm. it got so bad that when i went to the ER they thought i had severe burns on my arm. it got to the point where it didn't itch at all it just hurt. apparently what happened is my cells actually started to break down due to the poison. i got it in the woods near our house where humans hadn't been in like 100 yrs.

damn man, i had it pretty bad once too, not that bad, but i mowed the grass barefoot, and it started in between my toes, after enough itching and spreadding, it was up to my knees on each leg. it sucked.

basicly i wrapped each one in an ace bandage to keep myself from skratching it.

i was stupid enough to repeat the barefoot thing last weekend (about 6 years later) and man, this stuff saved my ***.
