My friend ran a carfax report on my car... it told him that there was "possible odometer tampering" he checked what my odom said and what the carfax said that the DMV reported and they were differant. It looks like someone at the DMV fucked up and put in the wrong millage. Anyone know how to get that fixed?

More then likely when the title was transfered on the back someone wrote the mileage wrong. You can get ahold of the dmv and request an odameter statement wich is filled out at the time the car is purchased (if they do that where you are) the other thing to do would be contact the dmv and ask for the form requesting it be fixed. At this point they may fix it, blow you off and list it as TMU (true mileage unknown), or just state it is beyond its mechanical limits. Of course I dont know the laws where you are but thats how it works in pa. I fill out titles daily and when i **** up they just have me sign a form with the correction. Best bet is to get ahold of the dmv. GOOD LUCK Brett or just give the car to me
