i'm looking for a new mountain bike, and wondered if anyone on here knew much about them. I'm pretty up to date on them, but not so much on what brands are good or bad.

I'm looking on ebay now, and finding tons of them.

there are a few that I havent heard of. what do you know about Tank brand bikes, or Hondaka?

I really want a GT but none in my price range. I don't want to spend more than about 250 bucks, but for a really nice one, I might swing 300.

you are not getting much for $300 . A decent bike will run you $600 and up. If you do do "real" riding, you should get something with dual suspention. with atleast 3" travel in the rear. 5-6" is ideal though. disk brakes are nice too, but not a nessecity.

thats the one I'm looking at.

I know that I'm not gonna get a whole lot, but I'm on a 17 y/o budget.

I've been riding a Diamondback with NO suspension. and I rode it till the wheels are fallin off. and it got put through hell.

I'm confused on the sizing of this one..

if its right it might just be a winner. I had that other diamondback for years and never had a problem with it.

It's ok for a beginner bike, diamond back is a decent company. Did you ask why the one pedal is missing???
