Yeah I have a 1st gen 5 speed...and wanted a short shifter..BUT me paying 200$ right now is a bad time right now...



What brands are you guys using ..I onl;y saw one brand advertised for the first gen on the net...

Do any of you have any used ones?

 

My buddy has one on his S4 T2. Its pretty sweet, but notchy. Try this site for a lessexpensive shortshifter horsepowerinabox.com. It austrailian, but thats good, as their dollar isn't worth **** right now.

 

damn shame the shipping is so high, it would be about half the cost of the mazdatrix one, assuming that site is all in australian $ but the shipping for a short shifter ends up being over $100 US, I think I will just get one from Mazdatrix, and help out the forum.

 

actually, the shipping isn't that bad. i think shipping to the US is included in their website.



I know I had my ECU and EFI bits shipped from Japan and it didn't cost but $18

 

Remember the amount of AU dollars vs US dollar amount for the shifter..

AU dollar was $200.

so in US dollar it came out to be $111.40 ....



I dont think the shipping is gonan be more than $50. and I still come out cheaper than going to Mazdatrix..



AU has so many things for the RX we dont have here....or its better..



I think the Thorsen is made in AU if im wrong tell me..and what about Haltec?

umm, I tried to order it, it was $200 AU for the shifter, which is good, and $185 AU for shipping to the US, which ends up being about the same as Mazdatrix, if not a bit more, since they are selling them for $192 US

 

That sounds fishy. I bet they're trying to make more money off you cuz you are american.

 

I dont think thats right for the shipping...

I been checking on this 6 peice 1st gen kit..and the shipping for that ground effect kit is $350. US dollars
