I have a TC3 i got a good deal on but i never raced it. maybe i should takes a few little parts out andmake it rwd and try to drift it.

I did do some decent kinda drifts on the dirt track, that **** was loose and dusty for a while. Plus the way my tires were worn they werent hooking up very well.
My friends 540 micro is awd but god damn it drifts all day long, it's comical to see... even out on the asphalt he can keep it sideways pretty effortlessly. He has a web site about the beast here:

troll's 540 micro

turbo, The clod busters? Depends on how there setup. Some people gear them as low as possibly and run a soft setup for crawling.

Then theres a few people who build custom hassis for racing and race them.

Peng, if i could find a big open area of like concrete, the smooth **** in garages sometimes, i could drift all day long.

Saw a video fo a jap guy doign it around a little track in a big garage.
