Okay, I know I'm crazy, but I figured in between diaper changes and home projects and drag racing, that I would teach myself how to play the electric bass. My neighbor plays drums and guitar and he got me interested. I picked up a mint used Yamaha bass yesterday and I'm downloading bass tablature today. You gotta love those low notes!

Yea, I'm a musician too. Currently sing for a worship team and hopefully starting a rock band project soon enough.

Due to a fall-out of Bass and Drums we need both soon. Hopefully we can find others like us with the same passion in music and life.

Take lessons, the idea of spending the money alone will keep you dedicated! My brother plays guitar and teaches to about 20 students now, and we both are taking voice lessons from a guy who's been all over the place, including Carnegie hall.

Might take piano lessons soon as well as get more tips from my brother on guitar.

Is yours a 5-string? Jazz bass?

get lessons. youll get alot better alot faster. it will also keep you more motivated, and will better teach you to make your own songs. look into it, you wont regret it.

I drum in a band, we rock.

I am learning guitar right now. Im good a making up melodies, but the chords get me.

Bass is quite fun. Just remember the bass and the drums is the backbone of any rock band. The guitar and singer can be going off on a tangent and as long as the rythym section stays together it still sounds like music.
