Who wetshaves with a Double Edge razor?

ColinRX7 06-29-2008 10:37 PM

apparently you, old man

ColinRX7 06-29-2008 10:39 PM

i use three blades, in place of each blade on a typical three bladed razor blade, making a total of 9 blades

i can shave my sunburn off

phinsup 06-29-2008 10:39 PM

**** no i can't use anything other then electric or my sensitive skin breaks out with bumps and ingrown hairs.

I got shaved one time with a regular old school razor in an old school barber shop in key west.

rx7_re 06-30-2008 04:20 AM

Thank god I'm not the who can only use an electric.

TheRX7Project 06-30-2008 07:44 AM

I either use a 3-blade Gilette or my electric, but usually my electric. I do break out a little when I use my regular razor, but sometimes I use it for special occasions.

teknics 06-30-2008 07:36 PM

i use the 5-blade thing from gillette forget its name whatever the newer one is.

electric cant shave close enough fr me.

am i the only one who shaves against the hair? if i shave "with" the hair it barely takes anything off.

kevin.

Rob x-7 06-30-2008 09:50 PM

I use the mach 3 Turbo

**** that 4&5 blade crap

I shave sideways and inside out

phinsup 06-30-2008 10:03 PM

I am now using a Braun Pulsonic, it's the second braun I've had and I like it a lot

http://www.braun.com/na/pulsonic/pulsonic.html

ColinRX7 07-01-2008 12:22 AM

And next thing you know everybody was talking about what kind of shavers they use!

I use a mach 3 if nobody gathered that from me initially

I think the blades are way too much money. 18 bucks for a 5 pack? Like really? My "patented wear strip" better indicate to me when the razor is done by turning the entire replaceable end into solid gold.

TheRX7Project 07-01-2008 07:49 AM

I use a Mach 3 TURBO baby! and I use a regular hair trimmer for my electric. I have a norelco but it isn't the same since I dropped it. I too have to shave "against the grain" or it barely does anything.

Baldy 07-01-2008 08:27 AM

Mach 3 for me. Electric doesn't get close enough, at least not the ones I've tried.

Shaving against the grain gets closer for me, but also irritates more (depends also on how long it's been since my last shave). I shave with the grain, doesn't get as close, but nobody can tell because it looks smooth next to a beard.

I also shave to the bottom of my neck, gotta get those strays.

G2G 07-01-2008 11:39 AM

What is facial hair?

- Hand

defprun 07-01-2008 12:55 PM

Mach 3 turbines with soap.

teknics 07-01-2008 05:29 PM

so how about a method for shaving your jollies?

figure 94t is around again...

Does that itch when it grows out? I'm afraid to go any closer than a 2 or 3 setting on my beard trimmer. And there's just some places I don't feel comfortable going with anything sharp, ya know?

phinsup 07-01-2008 06:41 PM

Doesnt itch me, plus i dont like getting near my junk with electrically powered items, its just a little hang up i have.

So you use the gas-powered vibrator?

phinsup 07-02-2008 07:50 AM

no, i use one that's powered by midgets

You shouldn't shave against the grain regularly, otherwise by the time you're 45, your beard will always grow in funny, hairs in wierd directions, etc.

phinsup 07-02-2008 09:37 AM

I shave every which way with my electric. I get a pretty close shave with the new pulsonic. You gotta watch out with electrics, buy a cheap one and you might as well not bother

ColinRX7 07-02-2008 09:54 AM

I dunno about those electric shavers...

teknics 07-02-2008 06:38 PM

i tried some norelco electrics and they never got close enough.

i also second phins notion, electricity plus my jibblets is a no no.

and colin if i keep shaving against the grain then my beard will never grow in so i wont have to worry about weird directional hairs...or maybe i just WANT to look like ted kazinsky

kevin.

Norelco is overrated. They're comfortable, but not close. I've had at least two Brauns, and I liked them both. I'll soon be buying another one. I've had my current one for years and years.

And I think I like the idea of electricity next to my privates more than I like the idea of a sharp piece of glistening steel, not that I'm overly fond of either.

phinsup 07-03-2008 09:36 AM

check out the pulsonic it's worth the extra bucks

teknics 07-03-2008 05:33 PM

it costs money just to look at? **** that.

Honestly, there are other sites that can provide information about the rotary engine and RX-7's. What keeps me coming back to nopistons is all the great information on shaving genitals.

sweet7 07-18-2008 09:25 AM

After i got out of the Army I said **** shaving. I've just maintained a nice lil 5'clock shadow for the past year and a half. As far as the goods go, its a ******* art my friends. If im in a hurry (booty call) ill just use an electric on one and stay clear of my ******* nuts. But, if you wanna do it right and avoid razor burn/bumps this is how you do it.

Day 1: Get a razor with a brand new blade, use an unscented, color free shaving cream and make one pass, with the grain over the whole area. Then wash, moisturize, and apply an anti bump ointment.

Day 2: Basically exactly the same, use a new blade once again and make one pass.

Following Days: Keep repeating this process until you got it nice and bare and you're balls look like your moms collection of antique bowling balls. This should reduce if not nullify most people's razor burn. Just keep up with it, if you let it grow out to far you'll have to repeat the whole process!

Baldy 07-18-2008 09:26 AM

I dropped my beard trimmer the other day, shattered plastic into many pieces. Geez, my beard is gonna get outta control. I refuse to use the pube trimmer (old beard trimmer) on my face.

I guess I could buy a new one, but then I wouldn't have an excuse for an unruly beard. I need to start carrying a comb with me, just for the beard.
