Hi im doing a report on stress-strain relationship between two materials , Steel and Aluminum under tensile forces. I have all the data but wanted to see if i can find other information on this type of stuff or a previous report written on this matter for reference on how to structure my report.

Stress-Strain graphs are you friend!!!!!! If you've got extra money to spend check some engineering websites and buy the papers on them. SAE might have something on it, not too sure about that though.

If I'm not mistaken, 94t used to be involved in that stuff, hopefully he'll chime in with something important. I'm still in school and haven't really gotten to that stuff or I'd try to help out too.

Yeah I worked in Civil, but never did any metal tensile strengths. But I can tell you how **** flows.

Downhill?

if i can get the damn files to open, i have a stress/strain plot of an aluminum sample (along with the dimensions of it) that i can post, I dont have any steel done yet tho, and prob not for a couple weeks (materials sci lab). Do you need help reading the graphs, or just need to get a bunch of them?

Ha...that's what I was thinking.

I wish I could help you on this subject, but I never went to Statics/Strength of Materials class because it was at 8 AM.

YEah im currently doing Fluid Mechanics, surface tension got me a bit confused.....

Mechanics of materials is what i need help with, i understand it just want to see what i can write about for 25 pages.

I heard and been to a site where people have to post one of there reports in order to get other reports from other people. Im not gonna copy just wnat to hear the topics thati can discuss in my report lol..
