I havent even driven my car 10,000 in the 6 years I have owned it.

My boss has a 1990 Thunderbird Super Coupe anniversary edition with less then 2000 miles on it, his 65 GTO has 65,000 miles on it ( he is the original owner )

My cousin just sold his 1990 ZR-1, that had a whopping 22,000 miles on it. Why is it so hard to imagine some people have several cars and dont drive the same car everyday and only drive a car for pleasure?

****, how many miles does Vosco's car have on it in the last 2 years, lol

You can even mail your cluster out by the way, and for $199 they will "calibrate and repair" it to the mileage you want.

thats a good point, ive prolly driven my fc 7k miles in 2 years, the gsl-se 15k in 4 years, when you have 6 cars and no cummute its hard to get high mileage....

True..True, But I wouldnt pay all the extra money just because the odometer reads 7K. I didnt realize our odometers where so easy to roll back.

Im sure a in-person observation of the car would obviously tell a 7000 mile car from one with more on it.

40,000-80,000 might be a bit harder to tell, but the seat alone would show the wear, even if it had a cover on it, it would still be a bit out of shape.

Road rash in the wheel well area, chips in the paint in the front, the condition of the pedals, hoses, battery cables, the general condition of the engine compartment, you get the idea.

If I was going to be buying a car from out-of-state, it would be worth the plane ticket to check it out, anyone who buys one sight-unseen is almost asking to be let down. And I would only buy one if after all local searching after months and months yielded me no results.

By the way, I emailed a place online about "resetting the odometer on my 1993 RX-7 after I had some electrical problems and need the mileage to be correct"

The answer I got; " NO PROBLEM"

Cost: $199. But you have to mail them your cluster.

And thats after doing a search in a search engine and not even leaving my house, of course there are plenty of local guys doing it, not that I know any of them of course. :smirk:
