so what are we supposed to think when he says is "better for the country" if he doesnt become pesident? isnt that like saying, well i'm gald you didnt hire me i would have messed everythign up" at a job interveiw?
i dont mean to get off on a rant here, but isn't this too dumb for trent lott to be saying? i mean the honesty is refreshing, at least we wouldnt have been dissapointed when he did sink the white house

not related too much to your comment, but one history teacher I had told us that in every past election where there was nearly a tie or very close, the loser won the next election....if history would repeat itself, Gore would have won....just forking over observations, I really know nothing of politics
