Before I begin let me point out the status of my garage. Currently my garage is jam packed with ****, tools and broken parts everywhere. I've had a few projects going on and **** just piles up everywhere. I have 3 cars stuffed in there too, so a typical morning involves me getting up and backing a car out so she can get out of there. Now since the mini leaks oil I have a fairly large piece of carpet on that side of the garage. This large piece of carpet however has accumulated about 50% of my tools and other random parts like pieces of drum brakes from my pickup, which I just finished the other day. I have all this junk neatly disorganized in a pile that fits nicely inbetween the wheels of the pickup, so I just pull right over everything. Now this morning I have to back out to let her out. So I'm dressed in...well hardly nothing. As I back out and pull off to the side of the driveway so she can get by me, I notice the bottom of the car she's driving (my other mini) hook a piece of the carpet and begin to drag it out of the garage. Now I don't have my horn hooked up yet, so I'm thrashing my arms around to get her attention to stop as I see a pile of bolts, sockets, wrenches, hammers, oily rags, brakes, ect...begin to make its way to the street. She sees me and waves goodbye. I now jump out of the truck, shirtless I might add in a nice pair of PJ's, and begin to panic as she's driving away with this magic carpet ride underneath her, tools and parts being scattered everywhere throughout the street. Finally, thank god, she stops to see whats a matter. We spent some time gathering all the sockets that rolled away and got the street cleared out. Tomorrow i'm gona clean the garage out I decided.

I dunno, I gave up and went back to bed after I drug the carpet back into the garage. She wasn't happy, but I wasn't about to loose any more beauty sleep.

I call this....an efficient use of space.

Very funny story.

Serves you right for not keeping a spotless garage.

I don't know if it would be a good thing or a bad thing to be your neighbor.

get some of those under-the-bed storage containers (like tupperware), it'll let you keep crap under your vehicle mid-project. hhmmm, I may have to heed my own advice.
