LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actor David Hasselhoff, who played the bare-chested chief lifeguard on the international hit TV series "Baywatch," was arrested over the weekend on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, police officials said on Monday.

A Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman said Hasselhoff was arrested late Saturday evening on a DUI charge in the Encino area. She did not have any details on the circumstances of the arrest

and the sad thing is he will get a slap on the wrist a fine and that will be that. anyone else and they would have taken their licence. it must be nice to be famous
