As if the influence of large corporations isn't already manipulating government to serve it's needs and ignore the will of the people, the Supreme Court somehow saw fit to remove barriers to corporate spending in elections.

Call me naive, but I would like to see a ban on ALL corporate campaign spending.

Democracy in the USA died long ago, these action are merely making it possible for them to do it right in front of our faces. All of these actions are simply tests to see just how much they can get away with.
It started under FDR (executive orders and fiat currency), but the pace picked up significantly under Nixon.

I've met 2 lobbyists.
One I met at autocross, he was constantly oversteering in his M3 convertible. This was one of his first tries, at that time he had the country's fastest Mercedes in the 1/4 mile. He now owns a performance shop, and travels the country racing his Noble. Their current project is a stripped-down, track-only GTR. I think he's in his 30s still.
The other one was jokingly hitting on my wife, by saying "you know, I'm really rich."
