Yeah, I've noticed a ton more online users listed on the entrance page. What's up? Has word of our great wit and wisdom spread far and wide?

I dunno this is a bit of a paradox, i'd like to see us pay our monthly server bills (which we are no where near doing as of right now) which requires more traffic, which brings in ad revenue. In the same respect it wouldn't break my heart if traffic fell off enough that I could downgrade our server and pay the bills off of member funded programs (so far those aren't covering the bills). So I've spent some of the budget on improvements and am doing some advertising to bring up traffic and we shall see what the end result of that is. I've already seen some improvements and traffic (which you can see by the number of guests).

The only names I really recognize in that pic are Me, Phins and Baldy.

I can understand what Kev is saying. Nopistons is great because we're so laid back. We just have to enforce our laid-back style. Even if we have to stuff it down everyone's throats.

Check out these cool names:

94touring_2?

Phinsup Jr?

JASON SUCKS?

Oh, and P.S. newcomers:

Gen D is all about jokes. Say things you don't really mean. Thread crap on everybody. If you want to have a cool Gen D thread, forget about it. I will paypal anyone a dollar who thinks they can get a cool Gen D thread happening.

At which point I will tell paypal that my goods were not in working condition upon arrival, and I will have my dollar(s) back.

The sad thing is, this seems all to familiar to me.

In the Focus world, there is an "Axis" site- www.focaljet.com -where yes, they have ALL the knowledge, and yes, they have ALL the ******* moderators. But bottom line, if you need real pertinent info to fix your car (or mod it), that is the site to go to, BAR NONE.

Now I have seen 3 other, smaller Focus sites literally fall off the map. My favorite, Team Focus- www.teamfocus.us -is a site in which I am senior moderator. I've been with that site for about 6 years, and witnessed the decline to the nothing it is now. It breaks my heart to see such a promising site, where the attitude is laid back and everyone is pretty tight, die. The website is now gone, only the forums are still around, and only until the account expires this winter.

The Focus Connection- www.thefocusconnection.com -has literally shut down. The site is gone, the forums are gone. The owner let the site expire and that was it.

Club Focus- www.club-focus.com is also dead (if not gone, it's been over a year since I went there).

Now, us Focus owners are pretty much back to the Axis... unless you have been perma-banned from there. You walk on eggshells and make sure you search for at least an hour before asking anything. It ******* sucks, but if you need info, you need to go there. I swore after my first ban I'd never go back. But now... guess where I go for my Focus info, because I have to.
