4 Wheel Steering
#1
Anyone ever give it much thought, you don't see it much in cars, the new Chevy trucks have it. Porche and Mazda use a rear toe-in type suspension, but it certainly isn't 4 wheel steering. It seems it would not provide much performance or cornering at high speed as it would tend to shift the rear end enertia outward, but I dunno.
Anyone ever given it any thought?

No actually I am sippin on my tea, and had the tv playin on the puter behind me and I heard the gm commercial and thought to myself (mainly because I am the only one here) if 4 wheel steering is SOOO great how come they only have it on the chevy truck.

As far as I know, all cars with 4 wheel steering shuts down that feature at a predetermined speed, usually around 40mph. Yes 4WS would suck at high speed, it's good for parking and manuvering tight corners at low speed

Yea I think the prelude even had it at one point, I just don't see what advantage it could provide, I mean low speed yes, cause you aren't pitching the rear, so it would in theory bring it around square a little faster, but **** you get a high speed corner going you would shift your whole rear end out, which would be spin time.
