Rob x-7 was going to make fiberglass cowl induction hoods. THat would probably give you a few extra inches of clearance, depending on the cowl used.

If the demand was there, and a small deposit to insure my time isnt being wasted with people who think the thing will be $300 or some ****, the project might go on.

That guy on that forum with the Audi said theres on 3 in the US thats runs..is a bunch of ****...theres a first gen in the NDRA (NOPI) running a 20b all motor in the 10 secs...
