i can't believe the pistons would become a ball of metal.



i thought if u rev that high your connecting rods would just snap, or your pistons would mash into a valve and force it out of the valve covers.



woah.... what the hell did he do? run it at 16,000 rpm for 10 mins?

 

the 2 pistons engines ive seen that threw rods, went down and out to the side

We blew up the engine on my brother's suzuki sidekick once.. on the way to Palmdale.. The piston shot out the side of the engine block..

i threw a rod and it went through the oil pan in my moms minivan once exept the trans. slip and over rev into like 6500rpms with a red line of say... 5000rpms

 

i uhh spun a bearing in my prelude on the NJ turnpike......what a horrible night

Friend of mine did the same thing in an old IROC. The trans split in two the whole way back and the engine was dead. I wish we would've had digital cameras back then. Would've been a great picture.

 

well i'm sure you had a normal camera...
