Thumbs down

Im not here to talk **** or anything i just want feedback. I have an N/a that is automatic and despite many people saying that a n/a cannot reach 130 plus mph without loosing control or falling apart per say.

During the month of Agust right before my college semester started i was coming home from the Bronx in my rx7 gxl and me and my boy were racing around on the grandcentral parkway right after passing LGA Airport. HE has a vert. My cars went over 125mph which is that last that i saw when i looked down quickly. My girlfreind woke up my boy who was hitiching a ride fromt the BX in my hatch and they both said i was almost hitting 140mph.....

That is when i messed up my right exhaust from i presume somthing hitting the underside of the car.

Now why is that so hard to beleive

I only have a K&N intake and like tune up parts. Dont go comparing my car to other beatup n/a in ure neightborhoood think about the rx7 populace and come to a logical conclusion not one based on prejiduce and assumptions whcih will be hard to obtain since we already have our bias like turbos are the only fast FC's.,

Jason , Nyc

IF anyone in the NYC borough wants me to demonstrate it fell free to pass by. IM good on the weekends late at night.

Note: My car has both exhaust systems messed up right now so take that into consideration but reguardless the goal here is over 110mph since thats the numbers im hearing n/as cant passs so what up.

PS2 My n/a is very clean like new very low milegae like 73K when i got it. Very good conditon compared to other n/as and orginal stuff speakers radio etc

I think the thing to remember here is that our speedometers get more wrong the faster you go.

Oh and im runing so Bj's tires and shti like there bald and everything. I aslo think that fear may contribute to it. This was my first time going over 111mph let alone 138 mph i was shitting bricks the car felt a lil awkward but i guess i was lucky there was NO CARS on the road that night. WHich has been the main reason for me not passing 111mph. IVe dont 100 mph dipping through traffic but it gets a lil scary when ure being jerked left and right in ure car and somone can suddelny merge into your lane ( shti happened lol) so it was a good nite and i took the opptertunity. NExt time i will beignt my digital cam corder and make sure i tap some proof before i convert.

That is a possiblity but i am only going by what i read and what was read by two people in my car. Bout the incorretness of speedomters is beyond me since i have no knowledge on that sort of thing i wil take your word for it.

either way you are stupid for doing 110mph or 138mph on the crossbronx or wherever you did it.

you are just putting yourself in a bad situation. bad pavement, tons of traffic, and lots of people who cant drive for ****.

especially if you have bad tires and your car isnt stable at high speeds.

With an auto? I don't think it could be done, I doubt the gear ratios would allow for it and I don't remember if the RX-7 autotranny has a lock up torque converter (if not *FOOMP*)

With a manual sure it could be done with the correct mods. Dunno about stock, have no idea what the top speed stock is.

As for flying apart, no I've had UniqueTII's old car up to 120mph and it held up fine rust and all. Floated all over the place so I backed down before Ed and I wound up in a corn field. Damn the car was running good in 3rd that night.

*sniffs*
