phinsup 07-17-2002 08:25 AM

Hey, I've got the 23 also. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

phinsup 07-17-2002 10:08 AM

Love that sucker, from the minute I picked it up. Had a heavy ass Ruger P91-DC before that. Let me tell you you aren't packing that sucker anywhere.

isamu 07-17-2002 10:13 AM

You could see if Mazdarecycling has any.

ILUVMY88CABRIO 07-17-2002 10:15 AM

I didn't like the feel of the ruger. I was looking at HK, Sig, and glock. The glock was the best price (I paid $509 after tax), but I loved the HK, too bad it was like $650.

Just sent them an email https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

phinsup 07-17-2002 10:35 AM

I actually like the new S&W, which is odd because I am not a huge S&W fan.

Here in NY you practically have to put a chip in your neck to own something like that...legally.

phinsup 07-17-2002 10:48 AM

That is bullshit. I have the Washington State concealled weapons permit, eventully I will buy the Fedearl Permit which allows you to carry in any state in the US, but it's like $800.00

vosko 07-17-2002 10:49 AM

damn. i'm not making fun of phins anymore :o

phinsup 07-17-2002 10:50 AM

HA HA I can dish it out and take it!

My county is the one that is difficult in NY. They make everything difficult here because they know that people don't have the time to fight them. My mom filed a tax grievance this year, and they RAISED our property taxes by $1000. I hope that the extra donuts and bagels they buy with that money give them all heart attacks. :P

Rotarydragon 07-17-2002 02:43 PM

I'm the odd man out: I don't usually care for Glocks. I'm also not fond of most 9mm pistols for that matter.

I was really fond of my colt python. I miss that gun. . .

Otherwise I love HK's series of guns as well as the FN pistol. I'd get a Sig but I don't have that kind of money.

I need to shoot a S&W 40 to see what it's like, been out for years and I've never shot one. Love the .45 ACP.

phinsup 07-17-2002 02:46 PM

The HK's are supposed to be pretty nice, never handled one. The sigs in my opinion aren't worth the cash. i have owned 9's, but am really partial to .40, not really even sure why.

UniqueTII 07-17-2002 02:47 PM

Damn you gun people...I've never even shot one. I held my cousin's 9mm before, but I couldn't shoot it...they frown on that in Philly.

phinsup 07-17-2002 03:03 PM

One badge down one to go a huge thanks to N1XRR!!!!!

sidewinderx7 07-17-2002 03:07 PM

the sigs are worth the money. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png As soon as im 21 <_< that will be the pistol I buy, i've shot alot of pistols and for some reason it just feels right. Right now I have to stick with my shotguns and rifles.. but hey, full auto ak-47's are fun to shoot! And not to mention tactical mossberg 500's with extended tube/8 shot ...

:bigok:

phinsup 07-17-2002 03:09 PM

Yea it all depends on what feels best, you pick it up, you know.

raised-na-rx 07-17-2002 04:18 PM

I have my carry concealed here in Oregon and all it took was half a day in a classroom and a background check. I am not really a fan of the Glock myself, don't get me wrong it is probably the most indestructable gun made but I like the feel of my Colt 1911 series 70 Kinda heavy and in a waistband holster I feel like my pants are gonna fall down, but there is nothing like a 45.

phinsup 07-17-2002 04:25 PM

Yea it was the same way with the Ruger P91, no way to pack that bitch.

They just do a fingerprint and background here, which I have been through 2 or 3 times for the FAA for security clearance so no biggie.

dysthymia 07-17-2002 04:35 PM

Why carry a gun in the first place?

winger 07-17-2002 05:06 PM

baseball bat is all i need in canada

phinsup 07-17-2002 06:14 PM

No baseball is all you get.. but hell you could over throw both of Canada's soldiers with that if need be LOL J/K

Half a day?

phinsup 07-17-2002 08:09 PM

half a day learning how to put the safety on, think I would have shot someone. J/K

OK time for a drink refill LOL

ILUVMY88CABRIO 07-18-2002 03:30 AM

I called Lynnwood Mazda, and asked about the price of the badges new. They said there were two styles(??), they were special order. One was $99 each, and the other was $160 each.

phinsup 07-18-2002 08:21 AM

Whoa, bizarre, Lee Johnson, didn't mention 2 styles, but they told me $175, why would their be two styles?

Actually the half a day was spent looking at pictures of the dangers of firearms lots of **** blown off there, and the rest learning Oregon laws on self protection https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png Like not using hollow points because then the prosecution will claim that you were out to maim and injure and your best bet is shoot to kill https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png dead men do not lie.

isamu 07-18-2002 12:10 PM

Two styles huh? Interesting. Maybe this explains the badge that I think TreceB had, that looked like a 10th anniversary badge but did not say 10th anniversary on it. Maybe the more expensive ones say 10th anniversary and the cheaper ones just say Mazda.

phinsup 07-18-2002 12:13 PM

No clue... I have the parts diagrams on my puter at home and it only show one "ornament" that says 10th AE so I dunno where they are getting the second one from.

ILUVMY88CABRIO 07-18-2002 02:15 PM

The guy said he needed the vin # to tell what badge was for your car. I don't get it either. I figured the badges would cost more than that (even though they are a little pricey).

phinsup 07-18-2002 02:16 PM

Yea I called Lee Johnson again, he said there is only one and it is $175.00 and then he said "Didn't you call me a couple days ago LOL"

phinsup 07-18-2002 02:17 PM

Amy is going to run the cat pipe up to arlington and they are going to make a strait pipe for me. So we will be getting rid of the air pump and cat on Saturday as well!
