you could make it decent quick by losing alot of weight, i mean ALOT.... bridge port isnt cheap, sure you can just port your housings and have a bridge port but to actually utilize it you will need to rev very high... which requires more modifications (clearance rotors, hardened stationary gears, ceramic apex seals with uprated springs, increased oil pressure, exhaust and intake systems that can flow enough to keep up with the bridge port in the power band... yer talking big bucks.)

weight reductions, mild street port, header + open exhaust, intake, miata gears (closer ratio), and the 4.3 GTUs rear end, and it will be a quick car.... even just these items can be quite expensive.

With a stock S4 NA, you will be lucky to run low 16's. They really aren't good at the strip. I know this has been said a million times but for all the money you would spend to make your NA run even high 14's, you might as well get a TII or do a turbo conversion (which is probably even more $$$) and I know you said you don't have much money. If you want to get involved in racing with an NA, you would really enjoy autocross and even the NA's have a lot of potential there.

My best run on an S4 NA with all the basic bolt on parts was a 15.72 and that was with the lightest base model with manual steering, alum hood, etc.

See the problem is, i've driven alot of cars, this being one of them. I can feel the potential, and my dad swears up and down he could hit 10's if he had the funding (i believe him).

If i get this mustang that will be my car, as i slowly work on the RX7. I get the feeling u guys are going to become like family as i do this, and it'll be cool so ahve other peoples input as i go thru this car.

Hit 10's?? Alright, best of luck to him... anything is possible with enough money and knowledge.

Good luck.
