I have to respectfully disagree, as an american I have a right to not be searched regardless of whether or not you have somethng to hide. you shouldn't have to deal with the feds putting their paws all over your **** and violating your privacy, where does it end? I'll let them get the warrant without any probable cause and sue the *********** in court for an illegal search regardless of what they do or do not find. This is the type of attitude IMO that has lead to the slow erosion of our civil rights, not asserting your rights is the exact same thing as giving them up and guess what you don't get them back once you give them up, not easily. Where does it end? When do you say no if you have nothing to hide? You going to let them walk through your house every Friday before you kick off the weekend? maybe just give them a key and they can come and go as they please. **** it, let them set up cameras and **** so they can monitor your activities 24/7 afterall you don't have anything to hide right? maybe we should skip the whole due process portion of the constitution too, hell you don't end up in court unless you've done something wrong right?
It's in that pesky document called the Constitution that our forefathers gave their lives for.

I know what your saying, but if there is nothing to hide and its a misunderstanding let them see what they want to see and get on with things. You telling them you cant come in just makes them wonder what you have to hide, so instead of doing a quick walk through now they are going to be turning your bed upside down and looking through your wife's underwear drawer.
maybe I just like to pick my fights better, they will get thier warrant, and make a mess of things. Probably pull you over whenever you dont signal as well making other parts of your life frustrating

My guess is if the secret service is visiting your house you've already made the watch list. The next question is what exactly were they looking for? What is a militant group? we have no idea what the feds see as a militant group, we really don't even know that they "just looked around and decided he wasn't a threat", we only know that they looked around and left.

but in this case the guy had this sign and it was blown out of proportion, who is to say how many times this happens every day in this country that we dont hear about it?
I think a little extra security is a good thing, maybe if we took things as seriously in the past certain events would never have happened.
if out of the blue the men in black knocked on my door and wanted to look around, **** it im letting them because I have nothing to hide and nothing to worry about. Ive been watching DEA and some other cop show on spike channel, those guys **** YOUR **** UP when they search your house with a warrant

LOL well it looks those programs are effective then doesn't it?
Like I said before I'd like to know where the "i've got nothing to hide" becomes a violation of privacy. If they show up and say they are going to install voice recording devices in your home I'm assuming you say ok? Afterall you have nothing to hide right? How about a camera? I feel that my home should be just that MINE and I feel that what I do within my home is my business and I should never feel obligated to let anyone inside unless I want them in there. The constitution says:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

So if it's ok to ignore that because you've done nothing wrong which others should be ignored? The fifth? The Sixth? You shouldn't need these right unless you've done something wrong right? A right to a trial, you don't need that if you've done nothing wrong, we could save billions skipping that process, stream line the process of putting the "bad guys" away. I LOVE IT! Let's do it!
