Loi has graciously allowed me to post a Group Buy on Walbro 255lph In-Tank fuel pumps for the FD.

I have been told that $80 will be the price, +$10 shipping, +3% if you use Paypal,

So:

$90 if you use a money order or cashier's cheque.

$92.70 if you use Paypal.

Let's see if we can get ten orders. I'm down for two at least, probably three.

rx7machine 03-05-2003 09:38 PM

What's the regular price?

Sinful7 03-05-2003 11:01 PM

$130 +shipping at most places

rx7machine 03-05-2003 11:08 PM

$130 +shipping at most places
Humm.. then $90 isn't a bad deal at all.. but, I doubt I'm going to need one any time soon..

Sinful7 03-06-2003 12:11 AM

Yes, buuut... I'm getting mine now so it's ready when I am.

At this price, one really can't go wrong.

rx7machine 03-06-2003 12:22 AM

Yea, that's true.. how much hp will this fuel pump withstand? (not sure if I said that right..)

apexkw 03-06-2003 07:45 AM

is it the regular pump or the bigger one?

Sinful7 03-06-2003 11:03 AM

Uh, I'm not sure what you're asking apexkw. There are two Walbros that I know of, a 190 lph and this one, the 255lph. It comes with the kit to make it a drop-in, direct bolt-on. I understand it'll support 350 rwhp no problem.

tfhuth 03-06-2003 12:04 PM

Forgive my ignorance, but at what point am I going to need one of these. Like, is my injector duty cycle going to crap out before I need more fuel to them. I have the stockers right now.

Thanks, Tom

P.S. this does sound like another great group buy!

Sinful7 03-06-2003 10:21 PM

Okay, well - You should DEFINETLY want one BEFORE you upgrade your injectors. In fact, I think it's a good idea above 300hp. There's really no point in starving the injectors if you can avoid it.

You guys really shouldn't feel obligated to buy, I just want to present an opportunity. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

FYI, I'm putting one in my stock-injected FD, because I feel it's good, cheap insurance against fuel pump failure, injector starvation, and motor loss. Plus, I'm on my way to the hgh HP numbers, so why not start now?

rx7machine 03-06-2003 11:25 PM

350rwhp.. not bad.. what about that other gb for the supra fuel pump? How does that one measure up with this one?

Sinful7 03-07-2003 12:43 AM

Well, the Supra TT pump flows 290 liters per hour, which is 35lph more than this one. I't also $185.00. My buddy is setting up dual in-tank Walbros for his KAI BB Turbo, he's shooting for 600+ rwhp. It'll be better for him (at the same price as 1 Supra TT pump) to run 2 parallel Walbros, and he'll be pushing 510 lph capacity... Way more volume for the same cash (granted it's a custom setup, but still...)

Dual fuel pumps.. sounds like a cool custom job. What turbo's he using?

tfhuth 03-07-2003 07:06 AM

I'll get in on this buy then. Thank you for your response.

Let us know the rest of the information. How to handle the transaction. OK??

Thanks, Tom

Once we get 5 confirmed orders, Loi will be accepting money directly (via paypal of Money Order/Cashiers Cheque). Please PM me to submit an order request, and I will confirm!

As long as my buddy doesn't back out, I'm in for three. So be tween Tom and I, there's four. I'll try to get a few more locals, too.

tfhuth 03-10-2003 07:40 AM

Gotcha,

I'll shoot you a pm regarding my desire to join the group buy.

Thanks, Tom

Alright folks, rx7machine just confirmed his participation, so that's our 5 minimum. Let's try to close this out by Monday. That should give the "weekend only" guys a little time to consider...

For you people who just got the PFC from me, this fuel pump upgrade is a nice addtional. It's cheap and it flows a lot of fuel. I am making my own twin walbro twin pump set up.

The pump is good up to 425-450 rwhp.

The supra one does not flow 290 l/hr. The flow rate also drops a lot when the fuel pressure is high. I rather use walbro than the supra or the cosmo one. In fact, I sold my used cosmo for the walbro. =)

rotaryextreme 03-12-2003 06:11 PM

For rx7machine,

Please contact me asap. you never gave me your address where to ship the pfc. it's ready to go. i can't get a hold of you from PM or Email. Please let me know ASAP. Thanks.

Chuck

GoRacer 03-12-2003 07:53 PM

Are you going to be selling the twin Walbro pump as a kit? ...I am interested in one. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif

I might offer it as a kit in a month or two. My own set up is not really a bolt on. There is a lot of custom work invovled. I will try to make it as much as a bolt on kit as possible before I offer it to general public. Thank you.

Well the gb sinful7's talking about is $90/+$2.70(paypal) for one fuel pump. And you said the one fuel pump's good up to 425-450rwhp.. so, how much would the twin fuel pump hold ? 850-900rwhp? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/ohmy.png So, how much would this twin fuel pump be anyways?

Sinful7 03-13-2003 11:00 AM

Thanks for the info Chuck! We'd be happy to have any people that want to get in on this!

I_can't_stop_buying_mods for the FD !

Hi my names Tom and I'm a mod addict.

It all started when I saw this group buy from rotaryextreme for a PFC w/ commander.

Then of course I HAD to have the high volume fuel pump.

And I always hated that looong throw on the shifter.

Bigger secondaries.

Larger intercooler.

Coil overs.

AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.png

Help me, Tom

I was referring to the good company part. I'm guessing energetic rotors..
