#1) it's fairly light for it's size since it's fiberglass... prob ~ 5 lbs. I never stuck it on a scale though

#2) it mounts with bolts. I used most of the stock bolts that were used to hold the "lip" that was originally there. For the longer ones, I used whatever I could find lying around. The inner attachment points uses screws too, the holes are already there (infront of the gas tank). For those you'll prob have to drill through the diffuser. The rear-fender area is supposed to be riveted, but I used screws.

Hope that helps

Total deposits so far?......exactly ONE

What happened to all those 'interested' parties? I know, I know, don't worry, but at the rate the deposits are flying in here, this buy is going nowhere.

Come on, this is a an awesome additon to the 3rd gen, and the price is right.

Maybe you all forgot? $150 deposit gets this going, otherwise, you'll need to pay double for the actual part- which is what has kept the part off my car in the first place.

The deposit deadline is February 28th. That's over a month away. Calm down, please. As for myself, I'm waiting on the IRS.

It would seem to me that the sooner we factually have enough buyers, the sooner Chuck gets going with this project. So, sitting around and waiting another 2 months makes no sense. Unless we do not really have enough buyers- you don't have to buy it now, just put a deposit down to back-up your interest.

As one who has put down a non-refundable deposit based on posts (such as yours), I have every right to be anxious about this group buy. It's the first time I've gotten in on one, and forgive me, but I have this feeling that I can kiss the $150 goodbye.

I've done this before too (not reading everything), but it's obvious you didn't read all the info Chuck posted. The deposit is non-refundable only if you decide you want to back-out of the deal after you have already commited to it. In other words, if this group buy does not happen because there's not enough people, you will receive your deposit back.

I don't believe for a second that Chuck would keep your deposit if the group buy doesn't attract enough buyers. And if you believe that he's the kind of person that would keep the money, why would you do business with him at all?
