The diffuser covers the fuel tank, so the venturi tunnel begins just aft of the rear axle- theoretically long enough to generate some downforce dependant on the proximity of the tunnel sides to the ground, and of course, the vehicle speed.

Regarding FikseRXSeven's admonition not to worry, we will need another 7 deposits beyond mine to make this thing fly. I'm worried.

looking at the pic, what is the scuff mark that runs across the diffuser? Where it dragged once? What is the original made of? I put maybe 4000 miles on my car a year, so I don't have as many opportunities to drag it on driveways etc.

Tim
that would be dust/road grime after I wiped it with my hand.

the authentic RE diff is made of FRP: http://members.shaw.ca/wankelhed/FunRoom2.jpg

the diff sits pretty high so u will not scrape it...if u do then u'll also need a new exhaust. http://www.encompass-tech.com/photogallery/M3_05.jpg

Any chance the price of the CF version might drop?

I finally got the carbon fiber MS RX8 rear bumper done and my cost was way more than I expected.

The RE Amemiya rear diffuser is even harder to make so I have decided not to offer the CF version. Sorry about it.
