ya i dont know if this is a sugestion rather than a rant..ish,,



the rule that you have to make 15 posts before being able to make a for sale thread. i understand it, and its reason, we have a similar rule in my local racing forum. the only real complaint i have with it is that i joined the site, then my window switch broke and i need one asap, so rather than getting to take time and hang out in the forum and meet people i feel obligated to make 15 junk posts just so i can try to get my window switch taken care of. which is kind of what this is i gusse... i hate people like me.



the real sucky thing is, i dont realy have a solution to the problem. without a rule like that spamers and scammers would have free reign to take advantage of your classifieds section. this weeds them out.



i just hope people bare with me through the 15 posts, after i get my window switch junk taken care of i hope to be a contributing helpfull member of the forum.

Your situation happens pretty often, and I don't know about the other mods, but I don't mind seeing the person reply to their own thread 14 times to get the required number up. We can usually tell if you're spamming/a bot or not, it's not a big deal.

 

Or make the post in new members chat and ask to have it moved for sale.



But I tell ya what we can lower the post count to say... 5 posts.

spammers can easily rack up the five or fifteen posts fairly quickly cant they... so is it really a deterrent..
