OK, as you may or may not know nopistons.com has seen a hell of a lot of traffic the last two months, that's a good thing! The downside is we are going to have to move to a bigger server that can handle the extra load. So, within the month of February we will have a little downtime, probably only a few hours nothing big.

I haven't finalized the details of the situation, but I will be setting up the site on the new server, testing, then moving the forum. It's great to see us growing, this is just one of our little growing pains.

I'll keep you posted as I get everything figured out, thanks guys for making Nopistons.com a success!

No everything will transfer over. Basically I'll have the site up and running, tested, then shutdown the forum for few, export the database and import it to the new site.

The problem is going to come from waiting for the nameservers to switch over, not sure how long we'll be down, but i will post a link in the forum and on the main page to the new ip until the nameservers propogate. So we may have a day or even two of inconvenience, I am trying to work out all the details on that right now.

Cool, but i was thinking more along the lines of slowing down the server.

And, by the way. How do i post more than 1 pic per post?? Or would you rather they be in separate posts??

How many you have and are you uploading them or hosting them on the nopistons server?

are you uploading or do have a pic host site???? If you are uploading you can only upload one image per post, ifyou are hosted elsewhere you can have as many as you want. You can stick them on stable-os.com if you'd like.

OK this was a pre-mature heads up guys, things aren't finalized and to be honest it is looking more and more like nopistons.com will be moving to it's own, dedicated server.

I'll keep you posted, I basically just wanted to let you guys know where we were at, if we make this dedicated move it won't be until March, we'll just eat the bill for February.

Anyhow I will keep you posted.
