Well it looks like the plans have changed again, I was beating around the idea of using another free software, it is quite fast, but has not been around long and is not as featured as the pay software... so i think we will opt for the pay option, sacrifice a little speed for stability and features!

 

I closed nopistons.net for a bit yesterday, re-opened it this morning, I was testing some new forum software.



Anyhow it's back open... obviously most people already figured it out cause there is 62 people online right now...

 

so is anything new gonna happen to the site in may?

 

Yes, and some already has. We have completed the server move. Waiting for the domain to resolve, everything went off without a glitch.



And yes the "R Experience" will take place in the first part of May. Although I have not finalized the details as of yet. :bigok:

 

OK at this point I am shooting for May 11 for the opening of the new forum no promises, but I will try to shoot for that date.

 

Things are looking ahead of schedule... depending on what I am able to get done next week, we may end up with a whole new nopistons.com before 5/11

Well a little plan change, we have decided, trust me vosko and I have been beating this back and forth for quite some time, to go with the ***** fast software. The advantages and disadvantages to both options are really nothing major, just little stuff. Being the fastest forum on the net is important and we'll accomplish it with this upgrade.



Will I have it done by May 11? Most likely not, but I am still going to shoot for it. I should have the forum software upgrade completed, just the not new site. We'll do one at a time as I am swamped right now with providesite.com, response has been somewhat better than anticipated so it keeps me busy.

Pushing this back... May 18th. Somewhere between this weekend and next I hope to have the new software details finalized and move forward quickly on the installation. I anticipate a very short down time... prolly about 2 hours, if that.

 

We are on schedule for next weekend, however I need some time to test the software, so depending on when I have software in hand, will depend on when the new forum goes live. We are still shooting for the 18th, but that is if everything goes perfectly... if not well you know the drill.
