i am with him. i think a v8 in a rx7 is a discrase. its like mixing steak and choc. pie and eating it. its not good.
lol, I don't hate V-8's in 7's.. I just wouldn't do it to mine, that's all..

If Chev can put a 4 rotor engine in a Corvette , then I can put a Chec Corvette V/8 into an Rv-7 :rice: :rice:

no it was to slow with the rotary plus reliability was out of the question...

i have seen a 7 vith a v-8 in it and he was running 11's he said it was the cheapest and fastest drag car he had ever made..
Too slow with the rotary? You have obvoiusly never ridden in a single turbo rx7 before. A v-8 has its reliability advantages, but the rx7 isn't so unreliable itself as long as its tuned properly. Put that v-8 in there and race a single turbo'd FD and see what happens.

But I actually see nothing wrong with doing the swap as long as its done carefully to keep the weight characteristics and handling of the car the same.

There is a guy on some online truck gallery with a Repu. He actually swapped out the rotary on the Repu to stick a V-8 in there.. That sucked..
