Ok, I have the chance to get an FC off of a friend for $500. It's non turbo. There is no interior. It has a short shifter. And it ran when we parked it.

I'm wanting to throw out the rotary and toss in an Sr20det.

anyone done this with success. I know there is a black FC with the swap, and he loves it.

this is just going to be my daily driver, since my civic to too powerful for daily driving now

You'll most likely need to swap in the drivetrain out of a Turbo2 to handle the extra torque/power.

i'll be making more RELIABLE power with the SR

and I can work on SR's no prob.

I was going to contact Rotorsports about it...but, i'd just rather have a good engine that's boosted and will last.

Your best bet would be to contact the guy that did the swap, I dont know him or his name. You might be able to get in touch with him thru www.dgtrials.com.

I also think that you would need the more robust turbo car driveline in order to have some reliabilty. I have been contimplating a 1.8 liter miata turbo motor swap myself for the past year. Good luck!

and not trying to be a dick or say that rotaries aren't reliable...

i'm just lazy when it comes to a daily driver...and i wouldn't give it the care a rotary needs.
