Rx7 Engine In A Jet Boat

ive just checked the engine and it runs well and only smokes a petrolly smelly smoke on start up when choke is on as soon as i took choke of no smoke an runs mint and at tickover oil pressure is 35.pound soon as you touch the throttle it goes to 60 pound is this correct or does it sound like ive got a nail.
