Rew Swap In An Fc
#71
just wondering and sorry in advance if this is a stupid question. what tranny are you using? and also what rear end? i ask because as i have stated above i am starting to think very seriously about this swap and since my car is na right now and needs a new tranny anyways i am going to be getting a new tranny and i also need an lsd so i will most likely get a turbo rear end. does that sound about right?

The transmission, driveshaft, rear end, halfshafts and such are all S5 TII. I installed those a while ago. The TII clutch kit will bolt up to an FD flywheel, or you can use an aftermarket flywheel with either a s5 or S6 rear counterweight, as they are the same. The engine bolts right up to the TII trans(or any rotary transmission for that matter).
If you are going to do the transmission swap, you will need the transmission, starter, clutch slave cylinder, driveshaft, diff, and halfshafts from a TII at a minimum, unless you get a custom driveshaft made to keep the n/a differential, which I do not recommend with any turbo swap.

i thought about dropping a fd engine into my fc, and it's tranny... though never got around to it... and im glad somebody is actually putting the fd twin-sequential turbo engine into a fc. it's going to be a wickedly awesome ride when you're done. make sure you finish it, and keep us updated for us who would like to do the same thing. good luck.
