with that oil cooler there do you plan on using different lights or does it just look like the stockers wont fit from the pics?

I havent test fittes the lights(not mounted that oil cooler yet either), but I really wouldnt mind an excuse to scrap the stock flip up lights and go with something flush mounted.

I like the way you have that rad. set up, but can I ask why you chose to do that? I have seen kits that make the rad. sit straight up and down for better cooling, but I don't know what diff. it makes. What are you doing for an intercooler?

Im leaning towards an air to water IC, with a heat exchanger in the pass side brake duct.



As for why I positioned the radiator and oil cooler(s) like I did, its all about the cooling. The majority of cooling is done by the first 2" in the airs path. As the air draws heat from the radiator, etc, it heats up. When you have more than one heat exchanger(radiator, oil cooler, a/c condenser, etc) stacked up, each one is heating the air before it even gets to the next one. That might be worthwhile when space is more important than cooling, but to me, with this engine, cooling is of the utmost importance. The stock twins put a lot of stress on the cooling system(think FD reliability), and I want a reliable car in a hot climate. I dont want to have to park my car when the air gets over 80 degrees, I dont want to have to worry in traffic, etc. I want a real car. One you can get in and drive, and enjoy, without worrying about whats going to break next.



I will be doing a lot of ducting work to ensure proper and adequate airflow, and will have a vented hood as well.

Well, makes a lot of sense, thanks! Can;t wait to see the finished project. BTW, I made a experimental water/air I/C out of a stock TII I/C a couple of years ago just to see if I could and what it would do and it worked really well. I wouldn't suggest that small of a core for your app, but it looks like you have some good fab skills, maybe you could make your own?

Ive considered using 2 fc cores, but it would take up more room than I want. Im leaning more towards a commercial core for space reasons.



On a side note, Im still pushing a friend of mine to convert his stock IC (TII) into an air to water IC in the stock location. The stock fc IC flows well, its just hampered by **** poor ducting below the core, as well as the simply fact its sitting above a hot engine.

I love the placement of the coolers and such, seems like the job would be easier, flow wise, if the rows matched the angle of the installed rad and cooler.



Aftermarket snout i'm assuming?

Ill definately situate the ducting to optomize flow with the angle of the coolers.



As for the front bumper, not just aftermarket, but...
